Yesterday We received a phone call from Floyd county schools, informing us that Bonnie Cook had died in a tragic accident. Bonnie worked in the office at Pepperell Middle school, where my sister attends. It was a very hot day today, the car said it was 107, currently at 5 it is 97, so it is a perfect day for swimming in the pool and drinking lots of water. After living in Minnesota all my life, it is nice to be able to enjoy this hot weather now. My grandparents in MN say its only been in the 70's and 80's during the day and 50's and 60's at night. At least down here we get to enjoy the hot weather longer...

Well apparently we felt it down here, but I sure didn't, must have been in the car at the time. They are saying it was felt in Atlanta, here is the news article http://rome.11alive.com/news/news/78489-magnitude-58-quake-felt-metro-atlanta Marietta is about an hour southeast of us here in Rome, so someone up here must have felt it. I don't about folks around here but I've never felt an earthquake. You would think with these mountains we would have them more often but I guess we're lucky. I can bet my horse felt it though.
